David A. Sumy - Associate
David A. Sumy started his legal career concentrating in civil litigation with various general practice law firms. Upon completion of law school, David began his formal education in electrical engineering with a focus in communications and networks. David has a special interest in wireless and mobile communications, as well as ad hoc networking. He also has a special interest in nanotechnology. David has experience in a wide array of other technical areas, including, digital and analog circuitry, signal processing, voice recognition, encryption, mobile phones, GPS systems, computer hardware/software, printers and printheads, various display devices, audio systems, semiconductor fabrication, and automotive parts and systems. David focuses on patent preparation and prosecution, as well as opinion work.
Before joining Harrity Snyder, LLP, David worked for the law firms of Sughrue Mion, Jacobson & Sorkin, Goldstein, Fishman, Bender & Romanoff, and Lobin & Sorin.
